Ms. Bailey has a unique perspective on defense of insurance claims, due to her prior experience working for an insurance company. With her experience both within the insurance company and as outside counsel, Karen Bailey brings special insight to her practice of insurance defense. Ms. Bailey is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, Nebraska Defense Counsel Association and the Iowa-Nebraska International Association of Special Investigation Units. She was recently appointed to the Nebraska Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and is a Fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation. She has also received her designation as a Certified Litigation Management Professional through the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.

A partner in the firm’s civil litigation group, Michael Moran routinely handles high-exposure litigation involving insurance, transportation and employment matters. He practices at all levels of state and federal courts. In addition, Mr. Moran is a member of the Engles, Ketcham Olson & Keith Rapid Response Team – coordinating with a nationwide network of investigative professionals to assist clients in mitigating large-loss scenarios. He also assists clients with mediation, arbitration, trial and appellate advocacy.
Paige Hall is a member of the firm’s civil litigation group, with a diversified practice including insurance defense, restaurant and retail industry defense, products liability, insurance coverage and appellate work. She is well-versed in assisting clients with litigated matters from pre-litigation evaluation through the appellate process.
Caitlin Kilburg has dedicated her entire legal career to defending employers and insurance companies against workers’ compensation claims. As such, Ms. Kilburg has extensive experience working with employers, insurers, third-party administrators, and professional employer organizations to resolve issues in all aspects of workers’ compensation in both Iowa and Nebraska.
