Biography
Chair of the firm’s government entity defense group, Robert Keith represents property owners and managers, political subdivisions and municipalities in a wide variety of cases and various Constitutional claims. He also represents transportation companies, veterinarians, large retail stores, restaurants and insurance companies in auto, product liability and premises liability actions. He has tried dozens of cases to jury and a large number to the bench. He has an AV® Preeminent™ rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer rating standard.
Mr. Keith has given over 100 presentations to industry groups on topics varying from mold litigation, 1983 violations, trial tactics, case evaluation and management, as well as best practices. He is past-president of the Nebraska Defense Counsel Association and has published several articles on pursuit liability, mold and current issues affecting the insurance defense practice.
Encouraged by his clients and colleagues, Mr. Keith has added mediation to his scope of practice. He is often sought out for mediations because of his understandings not only of claim evaluation, but of the expense incurred and efficiency desired by both sides to a dispute.
