Iowa Worker’s Compensation Court – Caitlin Kilburg

Claimant alleged an acute work related back injury seeking payment of past medical bills, a running award of healing period benefits, and future medical care including a recommended multi-level laminotomy and discectomy. Defendants denied liability for the same arguing that Claimant had failed to prove a materiel aggravation of her preexisting low back condition. Following trial and briefing the Judge adopted Defendants’ expert’s opinions and corresponding arguments and issued a Claimant takes nothing award.
